Keynote Presentation Extreme Ownership: Leading and Connecting Through the Power of Accountability

Presenters: Echelon Front - Jamie Cochran, Chief Operating Officer, and Sean Glass, Instructor

Everyone is a leader, and leadership is a skill. This is what we know to be true at Echelon Front, and teaching everyone the skill of leadership is our mission. The leadership principles that we teach have been put to the test in the harshest of environments – combat. Jocko Willink and Leif Babin wrote the book Extreme Ownership to share those lessons learned in combat with the world, and at Echelon Front, it’s our mission to continue that legacy. This workshop is designed to teach you how to take Extreme Ownership over everything in your world – at work, in your community, and with your family. This instinct we will help you develop is easy to understand, but hard to execute because it goes against your natural human tendency. Effective leadership is counterintuitive, and that’s what makes it so difficult but yet, so rewarding. The leadership skills you will learn about in this workshop are likely not new to you – teamwork, effective communication, prioritizing, empowerment – but our goal is to have you walk away with practical tools you can utilize to start doing those things effectively. However, the foundation that makes all of this work is Extreme Ownership. Leaders who fail to take ownership of problems allow those problems to go unsolved.

But, if you can learn to take Extreme Ownership of everything that impacts your mission, you can Lead and Win.
